I explain why theorists believe in extra spacetime dimensions, how they are 
presently hidden, and how they can be discovered at high energy particle 
colliders such as the upcoming Large Hadron Collider. I show why the energy 
regime we are approaching at particle colliders is a special opportunity for 
extra dimensions to appear experimentally, linked to their possible role in 
resolving the central puzzle of particle physics: the Hierarchy Problem.
