Fractal patterns have assumed a rapidly expanding role in the arts and
sciences. In this talk, I will discuss some of the intriguing behavioral
properties of fractals and how studies of these properties can be employed 
across diverse physical systems. These will include nano-electronic circuits, 
Antarctic iceshelves, brain structure and artworks.
